Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you have had a fun filled few days with plenty of Santa love thrown in?! We had a lovely day despite being ill and Matteo slept through the first round of present opening so we had another round for him - which Isabella loved as well!!! Here are a few snaps of present playing as I missed getting them when they were opening them!!

Matteo thought he'd try and eat his way through the present pile one label at a time! Then Isabella used her new doctors kit to check him out!

Matteo desperately trying to get involved with the latches board and even though Isabella showed him how to do them, he just can't!!

Isabella then decamped to her Peppa Pig tablet for a bit of counting and number finding - very successfully as well!

So Matteo thought he'd have another go lying down - made no difference, still can't do it! And then Isabella went fishing, and as there are no batteries yet she is quite good at catching them!

Isabella was super duper excited to get into her brand new Little Kickers football kit so she could go and be a "football gayer" (apparently she can't say the word 'player'!!) - after I had assured her she was not a 'football' or a 'football game' in the kit but a 'footballer' she then took offence to that word so we settled on attempting to say 'football player'..unsuccessfully!

And the tree is up!!!

Isabella couldn't wait for the whole tree to be assembled before she began to 'decorate', and was very proud of her efforts!!!

Meanwhile, Matteo is eating the baubles and then banging them together!

Isabella then decided the best approach was to empty the bag of baubles on the floor....

 
And Matteo is in heaven!!

Isabella then wrapped herself in tinsel and said "Look Mummy, my a Christmas tree now!!"

Everybody know the most obvious and appropriate place to drink your juice is on your steps on the coffee table!!!

Turn your back for a second and Isabella sneaks Matteo one of her advent chocolates!!

She was much cleaner after hers - she'd tried to wipe away the evidence on herself....pity she forgot to do the same on him though!!

So Isabella has been 'improving' her dancing skills....somewhat!!! We have gone from the first - all upper body movement, glued to the floor with what can only be described as 'bopping' along to the beat; to the second which is full body action incorporating a bit of a strut and involves jumping on the sofa!!! I would have said it was almost fully honed until I saw her attempting a bit of break dancing as well!!!

Who knew that Daddy dragging a yoyo was so amusing?!

This was actually taken ages ago - during the summer I think! Anyway, it was a conversation about 'thunder' after a recent thunder storm - although she is very confused between 'thunder' and 'panda' for some reason! 

He's literally asking for her to put the laundry basket over his head, think she thought she was being helpful!!! Good job he thought it was hilarious and it kept them busy for quite a while!

Not entirely certain what happened to her counting here as it is something she normally does very well!!! It does go on for a bit, and is a touch boring at the start, but the end is so cute....especially the part about 'caterpillows' and 'sausages'!!!

Literally took my eyes off him for a second to go and get a drink and he had grabbed the bowl and upended his lunch. He spent a long time chasing it all around and got very frustrated when his mouth was never actually full as it was just the one pea, or grain of rice going in!!!

Still he was very proud of himself!!! 

And he's off....nearly...sort of....well not in the traditional way but he gets astonishingly far surprisingly quickly in this fashion!!!!

She doesn't actually talk to Emily in real life, but she will talk to her on the phone and every pretend phonecall is to Emily!!! Although I am not really sure we can class this as talking, but never mind!
