A written update!
Last Friday we had our appointment with the physiotherapist for Isabella's foot as it turned in a lot when she was born. Although it has straightened out slightly it still needs attention, so we have been given stretches and exercises to do throughout each day in order to straighten it. Apparently the technical term for it is a 'banana foot' - I thought she was joking when she said that! We go back in 3 weeks to prove how fabulously quick she is at learning things.
We also had our hospital appointment with the 'rapid access clinic' on Monday for her prolonged jaundice. They agreed she is still jaundiced but are not concerned and say it is quite common even after a month. They told me it could last up to 6 weeks (and still be considered normal?!) and to just wait for her colour to return to normal.....as we've yet to see what normal colour is it could be interesting!! They took a lot of blood to do lots of tests to rule out any underlying causes for the jaundice. They also wanted a urine sample but failed to stick the bag on properly, so she obliged with a considerable amount that went in the nappy, down her leg, over the chair.....everywhere basically but in the actual bag!!!! So we just wait for the results that will hopefully be all clear, and then wait for the jaundice to fade of it's own accord, fingers crossed it will be soon.
But despite all this she is really very well. She is a great little sleeper, and has hours at a time when she's awake (so far usually during the day) and she's really very alert and active - she is already holding her head up, if she's on my shoulder, for long periods of time and is busy looking all around!
