We had a gorgeously sunny (and non windy!) day the other weekend and the neighbour had an already blown up paddling pool they no longer wanted, so they threw it over the fence for us and we added about 2 inches if warm water and prayed the kids wouldn't catch pneumonia as they splashed in the water!! This was then followed by some intense planting of vegetables and lovely cuddles watching a film.

We had some lovely weather a couple of weekends ago so we headed off to a farm for the day. The children  love it here and there were so many baby animals which they absolutely loved. They weren't keen on feeding them so threw the food in thee direction instead!

Matteo waved to the deer and then stood up and asked "Is that actually a real animal?" Whereupon Isabella replied "Yes it's a reindeer" and Matteo said "It shouldn't be here, it should be in his home with Santa!!" 

Once we got home there Matteo was Fireman Sam before the car and window washing began, followed by a delicious bbq!

Shamefully late as his birthday was beginning of Feb...but better late than never?! We had a great day and he loved his digging cake and presents and apparently the only way to eat your cake is by using your mini diggers!!!
